The invention discloses a method for preparing a refractory material with a catalytic function for a Catofin propane dehydrogenation reactor. The method comprises the following steps: by taking a Catofin process waste aluminum-chromium catalyst as a treatment object and the waste aluminum-chromium catalyst as an additive, directly adding the waste catalyst into a Catofin propane dehydrogenation refractory material to prepare a refractory material with a catalytic function; through high-temperature firing, the catalyst which is coked and inactivated is partially activated, so that the catalyst becomes one part of the brick for the reactor, and the catalyst not only serves as a refractory lining and plays a role in heat insulation and heat preservation, but also can play a part of catalytic action; the refractory material with the catalytic function is prepared by introducing the waste catalyst, so that the waste aluminum-chromium catalyst is reactivated and utilized, and the overall catalytic treatment capacity of the reactor can be improved.
