Floor tile and manufacturing method thereof
A method for manufacturing a floor tile, comprising the steps of:-spreading particles (62) of a thermoplastic material on a transfer member (52) in order to obtain a first layer of particles (64),-superimposing several plies (5B, 5C) in order to obtain a plurality of adjacent plies on said first layer of particles (64), each of said plies containing at least 50 weight percent of glass fibers,-stacking said plies (5B, 5C) in order to obtain a plurality of adjacent plies on said first layer of particles (64),-stacking said plies (5B, 5C) in order to obtain a plurality of adjacent plies on said first layer of particles (64), -dispersing particles (70) of a thermoplastic material on the uppermost sheet layer (5B) in order to obtain a second particle layer (72),-pressing and heating the first particle layer, the plurality of adjacent sheet layers and the second particle layer,-melting or at least softening the first particle layer and the second particle layer,-extruding the first particle layer, the plurality of adjacent sheet layers, and the second particle layer. The plurality of sheet layers are at least partially impregnated by the thermoplastic material of the first and second granular layers in order to obtain, after cooling, a core layer, and-producing at least a slab using the core layer and obtaining the floor tile using the slab.
