The invention relates to the field of concrete, and particularly discloses flame-retardant concrete and a preparation method thereof.The flame-retardant concrete is prepared from, by weight, cement, fly ash, silica fume, gravel, sand, water, a water reducing agent, filling fibers and flame-retardant filler; the flame-retardant filler is composed of aluminum hydroxide, antimony trioxide and coated ammonium polyphosphate; the preparation method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing cement, aluminum hydroxide and antimony trioxide, and spraying water which is 1/12-1/10 of the total amount of water to prepare a cement mixture; uniformly mixing the fly ash and the silica fume to prepare powder; uniformly mixing the gravels and the sand to prepare aggregate; uniformly mixing the filling fibers and the coated ammonium polyphosphate to obtain a filling material; uniformly mixing the cement mixture with the powder material, uniformly mixing the aggregate with the filler, adding the rest of water and the water reducing agent, and uniformly mixing to obtain a mixed material; and pouring and curing the mixed material to obtain a finished product. The influence of fire high temperature on the concrete strength is reduced, and the safe evacuation time of high-rise residents is prolonged.
