The invention relates to the technical field of ship protection devices, and discloses a hole covering guardrail which comprises a transverse clamping assembly, a tightening and fixing assembly is arranged on the front side of the upper end of the transverse clamping assembly, a connecting and reinforcing assembly is arranged on the inner side of the rear end of the transverse clamping assembly, and a chain type protection assembly is arranged at the upper end of the connecting and reinforcing assembly. The side supporting assembly is arranged at the lower end of the chain type protection assembly, and the transverse clamping assembly comprises a U-shaped clamping plate, a clamping notch, a rubber pad, a mounting notch and a carrying handle. A worker hangs and buckles a large chain and a small chain on mounting buckles on the left side and the right side of a protective stand column, pulling work is conducted through the large chain and the small chain at the same time, blocking is conducted on the edge of a hole position, and therefore the safety of the worker is protected; and the size of the space between the protection stand columns can be freely adjusted, and compared with a traditional steel pipe scaffold type guardrail, the scaffold erecting time is saved, and the universality is wider.
