The invention relates to a construction method of a steel pipe pole assembling device for a power transmission and distribution overhead line. The method is realized by adopting the steel pipe pole assembling device. The method comprises the steps that a first section of steel pipe is hoisted to the position above a second section of steel pipe, and a guide head is made to move to the position opposite to a guide connector; the magnetic suction cup generates magnetic force, and under the attraction effect of the magnetic force, the guide head moves in the direction close to the magnetic suction cup along the guide connector till the guide head and the magnetic suction butt joint mechanism are connected together in a clamped mode; the first-section steel pipe moves downwards, the end face of the first-section steel pipe makes contact with the end face of the second-section steel pipe, and flange bolt holes are aligned; and the rotating shell rotates to enable the flange bolt to be screwed into the flange nut until the flange bolt is screwed tightly, so that butt joint installation of the first section of steel pipe and the second section of steel pipe is completed. The method is suitable for butt joint installation of the segmented steel pipes, the steel pipe pole flange hole alignment and positioning bolt installation procedures can be completed by constructors without high-altitude operation, and the field installation difficulty and the high-altitude operation risk of the segmented steel pipes are reduced.
