The invention discloses a use method of a turnout for suspension type monorail traffic, based on the turnout for suspension type monorail traffic, the turnout comprises a turnout beam body with a main line and a branch line, the turnout beam body is of a box body structure, the cross section of the waist part is of an external expansion structure, the main line is of a linear type, and the branch line is of a curved type; the turnout further comprises a long switch rail which is horizontally arranged in the turnout beam body in a suspended mode, the front end of the long switch rail is rotationally arranged at the intersection of the branch line and the main line, and the top of the rear end of the long switch rail is provided with a swing guide mechanism, supported through the swing guide mechanism and connected with the turnout beam body in a sliding mode. The short switch rail is horizontally arranged at the waist position in the turnout beam body in a suspended mode, the front end of the short switch rail is movably connected with a web plate of the turnout beam body through a universal spherical hinge supporting piece, and a rolling supporting seat is fixedly arranged on the web plate, close to the rear end of the short switch rail, of the turnout beam body; and a deflection mechanism is arranged at the top of the front end of the short switch rail. According to the turnout using method, the turnout switching time is shorter, and the switching efficiency is higher.
