The invention discloses a method for transversely digging and grooving after single-side circulating rotary drilling of a self-locking diaphragm wall. The method comprises the steps that a pipeline fixing frame, a sludge treatment mechanism, a horizontal rotary drilling assembly and a vertical drilling device are sequentially arranged on a drilling machine from top to bottom; a vertical drilling device is controlled to vertically drill and dig the soil body downwards to form a free section of the wall groove of the vertical underground diaphragm wall; the rotary power assembly is controlled to drive the horizontal rotary drilling device to rotate outwards on the horizontal plane to drill and dig the soil body so as to form a 1/4 circular horizontal cantilever slab groove; the vertical drilling device is continuously controlled to vertically drill and dig the soil body downwards to form a built-in section of the wall groove of the vertical underground diaphragm wall; drilling and digging of four vertical underground diaphragm wall grooves and corresponding 1/4 circular horizontal cantilever slab grooves are completed; and the rotating power assembly is controlled to drive the horizontal rotating drilling device to rotate outwards on the horizontal plane, and the horizontal rotating drilling device is made to move transversely, so that the 1/4 circular horizontal cantilever slab groove is drilled into the rectangular horizontal cantilever slab groove, and drilling of the underground diaphragm wall groove is achieved.
