The invention discloses a steel sheet pile counter pressure type pile sinking method suitable for a limited construction space, which comprises the following steps: arranging a guide beam on each of two sides of the axis of a steel sheet pile sinking position, and arranging a plurality of guide piles in the length direction of the outer side of the guide beam at intervals, sequentially connecting steel sheet piles to be sunk and inserting the steel sheet piles into a space formed between the two guide beams; the hanging bracket is pushed to the pile sinking section to be assembled, and the assembled hanging bracket is installed at the top ends of the four adjacent guide piles forming a rectangle corresponding to the pile sinking section; enabling the steel sheet pile clamp to clench the steel sheet pile to be sunk; sectional type pile sinking is conducted; the steel sheet pile clamp is separated from the steel sheet pile subjected to pile sinking; the position of the cross beam is adjusted to the position over the next steel sheet pile to be subjected to pile sinking, and next pile sinking is prepared; and after all the steel sheet piles in the pile sinking section are sunk, the hanging bracket is moved to the next pile sinking section. The method has the advantages that the method is simple and convenient to operate; and by arranging the guide beams, the guide piles and the hanging bracket, pile sinking of the steel sheet pile can be achieved.
