The invention relates to the technical field of building construction, in particular to an outer wall structure and a construction method thereof. The outer wall structure comprises at least two fixing pieces which penetrate through a lower floor slab; the first wall body part is arranged between the two adjacent fixing pieces; the ring beam is fixedly connected with the ends, away from the lower floor steel beams, of the fixing pieces and sequentially connected with the multiple fixing pieces. The second wall part is provided with a wallboard part and a door and window part, and the two ends, in the height direction of the outer wall, of the second wall part are fixedly connected with the ring beam and the upper floor steel beam correspondingly. According to the outer wall structure, the multiple fixing pieces are fixedly connected with the lower floor steel beam, the first wall body part is arranged between every two adjacent fixing pieces to form the lower wall body, the ring beams are arranged on the fixing pieces, and the wall plate part and the door and window part are fixedly connected through the ring beams and the upper floor steel beam to form the upper wall body; therefore, connection between the door and window and the wall is simplified, and the overall construction speed of an outer wall is increased.
