The invention provides self-compacting concrete and a preparation method thereof, the self-compacting concrete comprises the following components in parts by weight (kg/m < 3 >): 335-365 parts of cement, 105-125 parts of fly ash, 23-26 parts of an expanding agent, 150-180 parts of water, 815-845 parts of sand, 815-845 parts of gravel, 28-31 parts by weight (kg/m < 3 >) of an HNTK-1 viscosity modified material and 11-13.5 parts by weight (kg/m < 3 >) of a PCA-VIII high-performance water reducing agent. According to the self-compacting concrete and the preparation method thereof disclosed by the invention, the problems of insufficient strength and durability of the self-compacting concrete caused by the problems of the ratio of raw materials and a control process in the prior art are solved, and the water permeability and the crack resistance of the self-compacting concrete are improved.
