The invention relates to a rainwater collection system for an arid mountain area, which comprises a terrace canal system for collecting rainwater and introducing the rainwater into a rainwater gathering and filtering system; the plurality of first-stage reservoirs are arranged in series, and the rainwater is primarily filtered by the rainwater gathering and filtering system and then sequentially flows into the first-stage reservoirs; the second-stage reservoirs are correspondingly connected with the first reservoirs, the arrangement height of the second-stage reservoirs is lower than that of the first-stage reservoirs, and rainwater in the first-stage reservoirs is introduced into the second-stage reservoirs after being settled; the connecting pipeline is used for connecting the plurality of second-stage reservoirs and supplying water; the system has the following advantages that 1, the water storage system is simple, easy to implement and low in manufacturing cost; 2, the rainwater in the mountainous area can be effectively collected and used by the water storage system; and 3, the size and the number of the water storage system can be designed according to the local rainfall and self requirements.
