A self-resetting energy dissipation support with gaps comprises a self-resetting energy dissipation device, an upper pipe section supporting component and a lower pipe section supporting component. The self-resetting energy dissipation device is composed of a top steel plate, a bottom steel plate, a combined disc spring, a middle core screw rod, a middle core round steel pipe component, an end nut and a shape memory alloy bar. The combined disc spring is arranged between the top steel plate and the bottom steel plate, and a certain gap is reserved between the combined disc spring and the top steel plate. And the central core round steel pipe member is connected with the combined disc spring through the central core screw rod. The shape memory alloy bars are located at the four corners of the top and bottom steel plates and fixed through nuts. The self-resetting energy dissipation support controls lateral deformation of the weak layer by controlling opening and closing of the gap, prevents the weak layer from transferring, and improves lateral resistance. The internal self-resetting energy dissipation device is composed of two units with a self-resetting function, restoring force can be provided at the same time, and buckling and residual deformation of the supporting component are reduced through tensile deformation energy dissipation.
