Comprising a device base, a rolling gate, a driving motor, an L-shaped rotary supporting rod, a bearing, an inductor assembly, a controller device and a proximity switch device, and the controller device is a PLC; the base is fixed to the side face edge of a ground sliding way. The rolling gate runs in the slide way; a sensor assembly is arranged on the side edge of the sliding way. According to the automatic anti-falling device for preventing the vertical roller shutter from falling suddenly when a band-type brake device fails or a chain transmission device fails, a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is mainly used for identifying the position of the roller shutter, and a mechanical stopping device is used for automatically stopping the roller shutter from falling at a certain height under an abnormal condition, so that the safety of passing personnel below is guaranteed.
