The invention discloses coating slurry suitable for prestress reinforcement of various building ceramics as well as a preparation method and application of the coating slurry, and belongs to the technical field of ceramic reinforcing materials. The coating slurry is composed of coating powder and a solvent, and the coating powder is composed of the following components in percentage by mass: 40-50% of quartz; 10-12% of aluminum oxide; 20-30% of dolomite; 2 to 5% of alpha-spodumene; 2-5% of polyvinyl butyral; 0.5%-0.8% of a dispersing agent; and 5-8% of kyanite. The quartz, the aluminum oxide, the dolomite, the alpha-spodumene and the kyanite are prepared into the coating slurry, so that the damage tolerance of various building ceramic matrixes can be improved.
