The cantilever structure construction method comprises the steps that a plurality of cantilever beams are constructed on a second floor above a first floor, each cantilever beam is fixed to a main body structure of the second floor, and at least part of the cantilever beams extend into the main body structure of the second floor by a span; a steel platform is erected on the first floor, and the steel platform is fixed to a main body structure of the first floor; a scaffold is erected on the steel platform, and then a hanging rod and a hanging formwork are installed on the cantilever beam through the scaffold; concrete is poured into the hanging formwork, and after the concrete is condensed, the hanging formwork, the scaffold and the steel platform are dismounted; the self-bearing target of the cantilever structure is achieved through connection of the cantilever beam and the second floor, the situation that the cantilever structure transmits loads to a scaffold and a steel platform is avoided, and on the premise that safety is met, the construction process is simplified, and the construction efficiency is improved.
