The invention relates to an anti-segregation agent and a preparation method thereof, and the anti-segregation agent is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 35 parts of acrylamide; 1.75 to 10.5 parts of an unsaturated acid monomer; 3.5 to 14 parts of an unsaturated amide monomer; 3.5 to 14 parts of an unsaturated sulfonate monomer; 1.75 to 7 parts of a workability adjusting monomer; 1-7 parts of an oxidant; 0.7-7 parts of a polymerizable reducing agent; and water; the workability adjusting monomer is polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate. According to the invention, polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate with a diolefin structure is introduced as a workability adjusting monomer for copolymerization, and meanwhile, the polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate is also used as a cross-linking agent with large molecular weight, so that the prepared anti-segregation agent is slightly cross-linked, and the requirements of concrete on flowability and workability over time are met. The problems that in the prior art, a polyacrylamide anti-segregation agent is low in concentration, performance is reduced due to decomposition after storage, and workability is poor after concrete loss are solved.
