The water surface cleaning robot comprises a shell, the shell is provided with an opening, a filtering cavity and a liquid channel which are sequentially communicated, the water surface cleaning robot moves in the horizontal direction, the shell is provided with a first side face and a second side face which are oppositely arranged in the moving direction of the water surface cleaning robot, and the first side face is provided with an opening and a front drainage opening; the second side face is provided with a rear water outlet. The liquid channel is communicated with the front water outlet and the rear water outlet. The pump body is arranged in the liquid channel; wherein the water surface cleaning robot has an advancing mode and a retreating mode, when the water surface cleaning robot is in the advancing mode, the pump body guides liquid in the liquid channel to the rear drainage opening, and when the water surface cleaning robot is in the retreating mode, the pump body rotates in the second direction opposite to the first direction, and the liquid in the liquid channel is guided to the front drainage opening. The water surface cleaning robot has the advantages that the number of parts is small, the cleaning range is wide, and more use scenes are achieved.
