The invention relates to the technical field of refractory materials, in particular to a ladle wall castable which comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 21-24 parts of corundum slag particles with the particle size of 5-8mm; 13-16 parts of corundum slag particles with the particle size of 3-5 mm; 10-14 parts of corundum slag particles with the particle size of 1-3 mm; 10-14 parts of corundum slag particles with the particle size of 0.2-1 mm; 2-4 parts of air-quenched blast furnace slag aggregate with a particle size of 1-3 mm; 2-4 parts of air-quenched blast furnace slag aggregate with the particle size of 0.2-1 mm; 5-8 parts of corundum slag powder with the particle size of less than 0.074 mm; 15-20 parts of bauxite powder with the particle size of less than 0.074 mm; 5-8 parts of active aluminum oxide micro powder with the particle size of less than 0.048 mm; 1-3 parts of silica powder with the particle size of less than 0.074 mm; 1-3 parts of CA-50 calcium aluminate cement with the particle size of less than 0.088 mm; 0.1-0.3 part of sodium hexametaphosphate with the particle size of less than 0.074 mm; and 0.05 to 0.08 part of explosion-proof fiber. The invention also provides a preparation method of the ladle wall castable. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding the raw materials into a stirrer according to the weight ratio, uniformly mixing and packaging.
