The invention relates to the field of bridge body dismantling, in particular to a cable dismantling method for dismantling a cable-stayed bridge without a support, which comprises the following steps of: connecting a tool anchor ring with an upper end anchor head of a cable, and arranging a jack at the upper end of the cable; the jack tensions the inhaul cable until the anchor head is disengaged; a working anchor ring of the anchor head is cut off and removed; the tool anchor ring rotates to be separated from the anchor head, then the jack releases the inhaul cable till the jack reaches the stroke limit, the tool anchor ring is connected to the anchor head, then the jack is reset, and the operation is repeated for multiple times till the tension of the inhaul cable is low; a group of two-circle holes are formed in the surfaces of the upper end and the lower end of the inhaul cable, bolts are screwed into the two ends of the cable clamp and inserted into the holes in the surface of the inhaul cable, and then the cable clamp is fastened through the bolts and nuts to be tightly attached to the inhaul cable; pulling force for approaching the two cable clamps is applied to the two cable clamps through traction equipment until the tension of the inhaul cable between the two cable clamps is zero; and the inhaul cable between the two cable clamps is cut off, so that the safety is improved during cable disassembling operation.
