The invention relates to the technical field of building construction, and discloses a building wall reinforcing method which comprises the following steps: step 1, firstly, carrying out structural design and calculating the load and anti-seismic requirements of a building so as to determine the size, the position and the number of reinforced walls; 2, specific construction drawings and engineering specifications are formulated, the construction mode is determined, and the drawings and the specifications serve as guidance bases in the construction process; thirdly, the position of a wall needing to be reinforced is determined according to the structural design drawing; and fourthly, when the wall body is reinforced, the indoor space layout can be planned again, and the slotting space of the shear wall is reasonably utilized as much as possible. According to the method, grooving treatment is conducted on part of the wall body, the reinforced concrete part is directly embedded into the original wall body, it is guaranteed that the wall body is reinforced, and meanwhile it is greatly avoided that the reinforced part of the wall body occupies too much building space.
