The invention relates to a municipal road assembly unit and a construction method thereof, and relates to the technical field of road construction. A municipal road assembling unit comprises unit bodies and a connecting assembly used for connecting the two unit bodies. The connecting assembly comprises a connecting part used for being connected with one side of one unit body, a bearing part used for supporting the connecting part, a connecting rod connected with the bearing part and a pressing piece in threaded connection with the connecting rod, and the bearing part is used for being connected with the other unit body. The end, away from the bearing part, of the connecting rod extends upwards, a connecting hole allowing the connecting rod to be inserted is formed in the upper surface of the connecting part in a downward penetrating mode, and the pressing piece is used for abutting against the upper surface of the connecting part. When the unit main bodies are assembled, the unit main bodies are hoisted, and the corresponding connecting parts are aligned with the bearing parts of the unit main bodies located on the surface of the roadbed; then, the corresponding unit main bodies are placed downwards, so that the connecting rods are inserted into the connecting holes; and finally, the pressing piece is screwed, so that the operation is simple, convenient and fast.
