The invention discloses a light composite wallboard and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of building boards. The wallboard comprises an upper layer, a composite layer and a lower layer, the composite layer is composed of a glass fiber reinforced band plate and a polyurethane plate, and the upper layer and the lower layer are cement mortar layers. Comprising the following raw materials: 900 to 1000 parts of cement, 500 to 600 parts of ceramsite, 160 to 200 parts of fly ash, 1 to 5 parts of methyl cellulose, 3 to 6 parts of mortar glass fiber, 1 to 3 parts of aluminum stearate, 2 to 6 parts of polyvinyl acetate, 20 to 40 parts of desulfurized gypsum, 10 to 20 parts of a polyacrylate emulsion, 0.3 to 0.8 part of a modifier, 0.5 to 1.2 parts of a water reducer, 0.2 to 0.6 part of an air entraining agent and 380 to 520 parts of water. By adopting the preparation process disclosed by the invention, the compressive strength and breaking strength of the light composite wallboard can be remarkably improved.
