The invention relates to a method for preparing calcium hydroxide by using carbide slag. The method comprises the following steps: S1, feeding a carbide slag raw material, a quick lime raw material and water into a mixing stirrer, and fully stirring; s2, feeding a mixture formed by the carbide slag raw material, the quick lime raw material and water into a third-stage digester, and forming a semi-finished product containing impurities and calcium hydroxide from the mixture passing through the third-stage digester; s3, the semi-finished product is fed into a homogenizing system, and heat in the redundant semi-finished product is dissipated out through the homogenizing system; s4, the semi-finished products are fed into a round screen drum, the round screen drum scatters the clustered semi-finished products, impurities are conveyed into a slag warehouse, and the remaining powder containing calcium hydroxide is fed into a powder selecting system; s5, the powder selecting system screens the powder containing the calcium hydroxide to obtain qualified products, qualified calcium hydroxide finished products are conveyed to a finished product warehouse through a first finished product screw conveyor, and meanwhile impurities are conveyed to a slag warehouse through the powder selecting system; and S6, packaging the calcium hydroxide finished product in the finished product warehouse.
