The invention discloses a suction penetration construction method for an underwater large cylinder foundation, which comprises the following steps: step 1, preparing a top cover which comprises a top cover plate, a pump skid mounted on the top cover plate and aligned with a pump opening, a plurality of top cover lifting lugs mounted on the top cover plate and a plurality of hydraulic connecting mechanisms mounted on the edge of the top cover plate; secondly, the top cover is hung through a crane ship, and the top cover is installed on the top of the large cylinder through a plurality of hydraulic connecting mechanisms; step 3, hoisting and positioning the foundation; fourthly, an exhaust and drainage valve is opened firstly, then a lifting hook of the crane ship is gradually lowered, the large cylinder foundation is put into water, and the large cylinder foundation overcomes resistance under the self-weight effect to achieve penetration; 5, the water pump is started, and water in the large cylinder is discharged through the water pump and sinks till the large cylinder foundation sinks to the designed elevation; and 6, water is injected into the large cylinder through a water pump, and then the top cover is lifted out of the water surface through a crane ship. According to the invention, the investment on large-scale construction equipment can be reduced.
