The invention belongs to the technical field of building materials, and provides autoclaved aerated concrete with high coal gasification slag content and a preparation method of the autoclaved aerated concrete. The preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing coal gasification slag powder, a calcium material, an adjusting material and a first part of water to obtain slurry; mixing a foaming agent, a foam stabilizer and a second part of water to obtain a mixed solution; mixing the slurry and the mixed solution to obtain aerated concrete slurry; and sequentially carrying out static curing and evaporation curing on the aerated concrete slurry to obtain the autoclaved aerated concrete. The autoclaved aerated concrete with high content of coal gasification slag is prepared, not only meets the B05 and B06 levels of national standards, but also solves the environmental problem caused by massive stockpiling of the autoclaved aerated concrete, and meanwhile, a low-cost energy-saving wall material is provided for the building industry.
