Underground water tank using modular batten tank
The invention relates to an underground water tank. Previously, the groundwater tank module uses a large amount of plastic material and contains a small void volume, so that the flow of water through the module is limited. Embodiments of the present invention use a plurality of large panels attached to a plurality of small panels that engage to form a batten box having a tubular member positioned therein. The tubular member is fixed between the pair of large plates. Each of the large panels may be a frame panel comprising a four-sided perimeter formed by a top perimeter wall, a bottom perimeter wall, and two side perimeter walls. Alternating parallel channels extend between the top peripheral wall and the bottom peripheral wall. At least one built-in fitting is integrated into the frame panel. The built-in fitting may be an annular groove sized to frictionally fit the tubular member therein.
