The invention discloses a steel structure mounting method based on a self-propelled adjustable lifting platform truck, which comprises the following steps: a steel structure to be mounted is hoisted and fixed on a posture adjusting platform of the self-propelled adjustable lifting platform truck, and the self-propelled adjustable lifting platform truck comprises a chassis, a shear fork type lifting mechanism and the posture adjusting platform; the chassis is fixed to the posture adjusting platform through a scissor type lifting mechanism, and the posture adjusting platform is provided with a posture adjusting device capable of adjusting the position of the steel structure in the X direction and the Y direction. The self-propelled adjustable lifting platform car is moved to a mounting position, and the hydraulic supporting legs are put down; the steel structure is lifted to the operation height through the scissor type lifting mechanism; the posture adjusting device is controlled to accurately adjust the direction and the position of the to-be-installed steel structure; the steel structure is fixed to the to-be-installed position; and the shear fork type lifting mechanism and the hydraulic supporting legs are folded in sequence. According to the method, the steel structure installation efficiency and the steel structure installation quality are improved as much as possible under the condition that the number of tower cranes is limited.
