The invention provides a method for preparing silicon nitride ceramic based on selective laser sintering, and relates to the technical field of laser processing and ceramic preparation, and the method comprises the following steps: mixing silicon nitride powder, a sintering aid and a binder into a stirring device in proportion to obtain silicon nitride ceramic slurry; coating the silicon nitride ceramic slurry on a base material to form a to-be-sintered layer, and performing selective sintering on the to-be-sintered layer by using a laser device; and repeating the operation until the silicon nitride ceramic with the required shape and thickness is obtained. By arranging and utilizing the laser device, the technical problems of long production period, high production cost, low material density and the like of the traditional silicon nitride ceramic preparation method, such as hot pressing sintering, pressureless sintering and the like, proposed by the background technology are effectively improved.
