The invention discloses a steel box girder supporting structure and a construction method, the steel box girder supporting structure comprises a base and a plurality of column bodies mounted on the base, the top of each column body is provided with an assembly part used for being matched with a steel box girder for assembly, and each column body is provided with a detachable operation platform; the operating platform comprises a first platform, a second platform and a connecting piece used for connecting the first platform and the second platform, the connecting piece comprises a main body and a bolt, the main body is axially provided with a connecting hole, and the bolt is pre-installed in the connecting hole through screw-thread fit; the other end, corresponding to the bolt, of the body is provided with a plurality of barbs, and assembly holes are formed in the corresponding positions of the first platform and the second platform. The barb can also penetrate through an assembly hole in the second platform and is clamped with the second platform; the first platform and the second platform are mounted and fastened by the bolts through matching of the nuts, and the barbs are extruded between the nuts and the surface of the second platform to form gaskets. The operation platform can be conveniently installed, turnover is convenient, and cost is saved.
