The invention discloses a pipeline backfill structure and a construction method thereof, and relates to the technical field of earthwork backfill, the pipeline backfill structure comprises a groove, a backfill layer group, a mounting seat and a grating assembly, the backfill layer group is arranged in the groove, and at least comprises a light backfill layer and a supporting backfill layer which are sequentially arranged in the vertical direction; the supporting backfill layer is arranged at the bottom of the groove, the light backfill layer is made of recycled fine aggregate and expandable polystyrene materials, and the supporting backfill layer is made of recycled concrete; a mounting groove with an upward notch is formed in the mounting seat, the mounting seat is used for mounting a pipeline, and the mounting seat is arranged in the backfill layer group and located below the light backfill layer or at least the top end of the mounting seat is located in the light backfill layer, so that the top end of the pipeline is located below the light backfill layer or in the light backfill layer; the grid assembly comprises a plurality of grids which are distributed in the backfill layer group at intervals; therefore, the dead weight of the backfill layer is reduced, the pipeline is prevented from being deformed and damaged due to overlarge stress, and the structural stability is improved through the grating.
