The invention discloses a bridge expansion joint monitoring device which comprises at least two shear type hinge assemblies, the shear type hinge assemblies are horizontally distributed in the extension direction of an expansion joint, and the two ends of each shear type hinge assembly are slidably connected with a first bridge body and a second bridge body respectively; each shear type hinge assembly comprises a first movable rod and a second movable rod, and the first movable rods and the second movable rods are arranged in a crossed mode and connected in a hinged mode. The two ends of the first movable rod are slidably connected with the first bridge body and the second bridge body respectively. The two ends of the second movable rod are slidably connected with the first bridge body and the second bridge body respectively. The first trigger sensors and the second trigger sensors are installed on the first bridge body or the second bridge body, and each first trigger sensor is located between every two adjacent shear type hinge assemblies; the second trigger sensors are located between the first movable rods and the second movable rods of the shear type hinge assemblies. The expansion condition of the expansion joint can be monitored in real time.
