The invention relates to the field of concrete, and particularly discloses lightweight aggregate concrete and a production process. The lightweight aggregate concrete is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 400 to 800 parts of lightweight aggregate, 300 to 400 parts of cement, 600 to 800 parts of fine aggregate, 80 to 100 parts of fly ash, 140 to 160 parts of tap water and 6 to 10 parts of water reducing agent. The preparation method comprises the following steps: pouring the cement, the fly ash and the fine aggregate into a stirrer, uniformly stirring, adding the tap water, stirring for 2-5 minutes to form cement mortar, adding the lightweight aggregate, stirring for 5-8 minutes, adding the water reducing agent, and stirring for 10-30 minutes to obtain the lightweight aggregate concrete. The lightweight aggregate concrete disclosed by the invention has the advantage of solving the problem of cracking caused by shrinkage and creep of the lightweight aggregate concrete.
