The invention provides a beta-silicon carbide ceramic membrane DPF unit and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of inorganic non-metallic materials. The preparation method comprises the following specific steps: S1, weighing the raw materials beta-silicon carbide, silicon powder, an adhesive and water in parts by weight, and uniformly mixing to obtain a mixture; wherein the raw materials comprise the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of beta-silicon carbide coarse powder, 5-10 parts of beta-silicon carbide fine powder, 5-10 parts of silicon powder, 15-20 parts of a binder and 20-30 parts of water; s2, carrying out mechanical stirring, vacuum pugging and aging on the mixture to obtain a green body material; s3, carrying out extrusion molding on the green blank material through a vacuum extruder to obtain a semi-finished product; and S4, the semi-finished product is subjected to a drying process, a glue discharging process and a sintering process, and the beta-silicon carbide ceramic membrane DPF unit is obtained. The DPF unit is high in apparent porosity, high in high temperature resistance and high in mechanical strength, and is particularly suitable for being used as a DPF unit for purifying soot particles of a diesel engine.
