The invention relates to the technical field of steel bar connecting pieces, in particular to a self-locking type sleeve connecting device. The self-locking sleeve connecting device comprises a connecting pipe and a hooping pipe, a first through hole is formed in the connecting pipe, and the two ends of the first through hole are used for being inserted into the ends of rod pieces respectively. A second through hole is formed in the hooping pipe, one end of the connecting pipe enters the second through hole, and the connecting pipe can be hooped through the hooping pipe; a first shrinkage groove and a second shrinkage groove are formed in the pipe wall of the connecting pipe; openings of the first shrinkage groove and the second shrinkage groove are formed in the two opposite ends of the connecting pipe respectively, and the first shrinkage groove and the second shrinkage groove are of groove structures penetrating through the inner wall and the outer wall of the connecting pipe; the first shrinkage grooves and the second shrinkage grooves are formed in the outer wall or the inner wall of the connecting pipe in a staggered mode. The whole connecting process is easy to operate, firm in connection and high in working efficiency.
