The invention discloses a planting method of dwarf stock apple trees. The planting method comprises the following steps: ridging: ridging trapezoidal ridges in rows in an orchard, laying water and fertilizer pipelines in the ridges, and tamping and shaping to obtain trapezoidal ridges; planting short-stock apple trees: planting the short-stock apple trees on the slopes of the ridges, wherein the included angle between the trunks of the short-stock apple trees and the ground is greater than 45 degrees. The gradient of each trapezoid ridge is 45 degrees, the width of the bottom face of each trapezoid ridge is 3.5-4.5 m, and the distance between every two adjacent trapezoid ridges is 2.8-3.2 m. The plant spacing of the dwarf stock apple trees is 1-1.2 m. Dwarf rootstock apple trees are planted in a staggered manner on the opposite inclined surfaces of every two adjacent trapezoidal ridges. According to the method, the planting number of apple trees in unit area is increased, and the yield, the sugar content, the coloring rate and the anthocyanin content of the apple fruits can be directly and indirectly improved; the device is matched with existing orchard operation machines, operation management of an orchard is facilitated, and the planting cost is greatly reduced.
