The invention discloses an adjustable building edge protection device and a using method thereof. The device comprises a supporting unit which is arranged at the bottom of the protection device and plays a role in fixing and supporting, lifting units arranged at the two ends of the upper surface of the supporting unit, connecting units arranged on the side faces of the supporting unit and warning units arranged at the top ends of the lifting units. The lifting unit comprises supporting sleeves fixedly connected to the two sides of the top end of the fixed base, lifting rods arranged in the supporting sleeves in a penetrating mode and used for lifting, racks arranged on one sides of the lifting rods, limiting blocks arranged at the upper ends and the lower ends of the racks, preformed holes formed in the rack sides of the supporting sleeves, and mounting covers used for covering the preformed holes. The rocking wheel is rotationally mounted in the middle of the mounting cover; the gear is fixedly connected with the rocking wheel; by arranging the lifting unit, the problem that the height of the guardrail cannot be adjusted according to specific engineering requirements is solved, the flexibility and efficiency of the construction process are enhanced, and the safety protection level of a construction site is also improved.
