The invention discloses a main pier construction method for a complex embankment area of a tidal river channel. The main pier construction method comprises the steps that firstly, the construction position of a composite cofferdam is planned and determined; step 2, constructing a trestle; thirdly, a cast-in-situ bored pile supporting system is constructed; fourthly, a locking steel pipe pile cofferdam system is constructed; 5, constructing a main pier bearing platform and a stand column; and sixthly, the quay wall is rebuilt. Therefore, before construction of the fore shaft steel pipe pile cofferdam system, a pipe gallery-shaped cast-in-situ bored pile supporting system is arranged between the cofferdam construction position of the fore shaft steel pipe pile cofferdam system and the flood control wall so as to effectively support and block soil around the flood control wall; and soil around the flood control wall is prevented from collapsing towards the cofferdam construction position in the excavation process of the fore shaft steel pipe pile cofferdam system, and the construction safety is ensured.
