The invention discloses a door and window installation auxiliary device and method. The device comprises a height adjusting supporting walking assembly, a main body support, an adjusting frame and a clamping assembly. The height-adjusting supporting walking assembly is installed on the body support and used for supporting the body support, and rolling wheels are arranged at the bottom of the height-adjusting supporting walking assembly. And a U-shaped concave structure is arranged on the main body bracket. The adjusting frame is in sliding connection with the main body support and can be limited at different positions. A limiting plate located between the first side plate and the second side plate of the U-shaped downwards-concave structure is arranged on the adjusting frame. The clamping assembly is installed on the main body support and used for being matched with the limiting plate to clamp the bottoms of the doors and windows in the clamping area. The door and window installation auxiliary devices are designed to be of a strip-shaped two-wheel structure with the small width, and the two ends of the bottom of a door and window are supported through the two door and window installation auxiliary devices; therefore, stable support can be provided for the door and window, and meanwhile the removing difficulty of the door and window installation auxiliary device after the door and window installation is completed is reduced.
