The invention discloses a method for additionally arranging a safety channel in a project under construction and a steel structure safety channel. The method comprises the steps that a plurality of steel component main keels are vertically connected to existing concrete beams or wall bodies through rear embedded parts between the existing concrete beams or the wall bodies in parallel; a plurality of steel member auxiliary keels parallel to an existing concrete beam or a wall body are arranged between the steel member main keels, and a plurality of steel member auxiliary keels parallel to the steel member main keels are evenly arranged between the steel member auxiliary keels. The upper surfaces of the steel member main keel, the steel member auxiliary keel and the steel member auxiliary keel are arranged on the same plane to form a suspension frame, and a steel plate is laid on the suspension frame to serve as a channel plate to form a steel structure safety channel, so that the safety channel is additionally arranged in a construction project. The firmness of the steel structure safety channel connected to an existing concrete beam or a wall body is improved, and potential safety hazards of construction of the concrete structure safety channel are overcome.
