The walking mechanism of the sleeper replacing equipment comprises a chassis, crawler belt walking mechanisms arranged on the two sides of the chassis and rail walking mechanisms arranged at the two ends of the chassis, each rail walking mechanism is provided with a height adjusting mechanism, and the face, close to the ground, of the chassis is provided with an adjusting mechanism used for adjusting the direction of the rail walking mechanisms. The adjusting mechanism comprises an assembling plate and a rotating disc, a plurality of telescopic cylinders are arranged between the assembling plate and the rotating disc, and when the telescopic cylinders are in a contraction state, the horizontal height of the bottom of the rotating disc is smaller than that of the bottom of the crawler walking mechanism; and the telescopic cylinder and the rotating disc are controlled by a control system of the sleeper replacing equipment.
