The invention belongs to the technical field of road bridges, and discloses a road bridge self-adaptive damping system which comprises a pier, a bridge span is movably mounted at the top end of the pier, top plates are fixedly mounted on the left side and the right side of the bottom end of the bridge span respectively, and round blocks are fixedly mounted in the middles of the bottom ends of the top plates. Through arrangement of first springs, connecting rods, rectangular blocks and second springs, when a bridge vibrates, a top plate drives a first square block to move towards a second square block and compress the first springs, and meanwhile, the connecting rods generate thrust on the two rectangular blocks located on the front side and the rear side of a round block due to movement of the first square block; when the damping device is used, a rectangular block is pushed to drive a transverse cylinder and a transverse column to move oppositely and compress a second spring located in the transverse cylinder, and under the recovery action of the second spring and a first spring, a top plate drives a round block to reset, so that self-adaptive damping of the road and the bridge can be achieved, and the pressure borne by shock insulation rubber is shared.
