The invention relates to the technical field of concrete, and particularly discloses sulfate corrosion resistant concrete and a preparation method thereof.The concrete is prepared from water, cement, fly ash, a sulfate corrosion resistant agent, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and a polycarboxylate superplasticizer; wherein the residue on sieve of a 45 [mu] m square hole sieve is 45-53%, the 28d strength activity index is 62-69%, and the content of CaO in the chemical components is 10-15%; the sulfate corrosion resistant agent is prepared from tailing slag, water glass, barium salt, neoprene latex and a latex modifier, the tailing slag comprises at least one of lithium ore, iron ore, copper ore, chromium ore and manganese ore, and the Si/Ca mass ratio of the tailing slag is 4.6-7.8. According to the invention, the utilization problem of the low-grade fly ash in the concrete is solved, and a very good sulfate erosion resistance effect is also achieved.
