The invention relates to a motor vehicle door assembly equipped with at least one electric drive (3) for opening a door leaf (1) into a predetermined gap position (gap S) relative to a motor vehicle body (2). Furthermore, at least one state sensor (13) is provided which is coupled to the control unit (11) for detecting the state of the door leaf (1). The control unit (11) loads the electric drive (3) in accordance with a signal of the state sensor (12), said electric drive being preferably only loaded if the electric drive (3) needs to be loaded in accordance with the state to open the door leaf (1). For this purpose, according to the invention, the electric drive (3) acts on the vehicle body component (10) via a switching lever (5) equipped with a switching sensor (12) thereof in order to open the door leaf (1).
