The high-self-opening-rate refined stuffing sand comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 65-75 parts of chromium ore; 10 to 25 parts of quartz sand; 3-7 parts of ceramsite; 0.5 to 1 part of carbon black; 0.5 to 1 part of graphite; and 0.05 to 0.1 part of a binding agent. The ladle filler sand can be used for refining a ladle nozzle, has good fluidity, low thermal expansion rate and proper bulk density, and has the advantages of proper thickness of a sintered layer, strong permeation resistance and erosion resistance and capability of effectively improving the automatic casting rate.
