The invention discloses a device and method for stabilizing a machine body of a distributing machine in a hoistway, and relates to the technical field of building construction. The device for stabilizing the machine body of the distributing machine in the hoistway comprises two lower-layer stabilizing rods which are arranged in parallel and two upper-layer stabilizing rods which are arranged in parallel; the lower-layer stabilizing rods are perpendicular to the upper-layer stabilizing rods, the two ends of each lower-layer stabilizing rod and the two ends of each upper-layer stabilizing rod are used for abutting against the inner wall of a well wall, and a positioning space used for positioning a distributing machine body is defined between the two lower-layer stabilizing rods and the two upper-layer stabilizing rods. According to the stabilizing device for the distributing machine body in the hoistway, the lower-layer stabilizing rods and the upper-layer stabilizing rods are vertically arranged and supported in the hoistway, so that the distributing machine body can be positioned in the positioning space defined by the lower-layer stabilizing rods and the upper-layer stabilizing rods, and the distributing machine body is reinforced; and the stability of the distributor body is improved.
