The invention relates to the technical field of bridge construction, in particular to a self-adaptive cable loading crane suitable for a space cable suspension bridge and an erecting method. Comprising two sets of supporting frames, two sets of connecting trusses and a temporary fixed connecting structure, the two sets of supporting frames are arranged on two cable ropes respectively, the supporting frames can be movably connected to the cable ropes in the bridge direction through longitudinal walking devices, and lifting devices used for conducting vertical continuous lifting are installed on the supporting frames; the ends, in the transverse bridge direction, of the connecting trusses are fixed to the inner sides, in the transverse bridge direction, of the supporting frames, and the other ends, in the transverse bridge direction, of the two connecting trusses are adjustably connected into a whole in a sleeved mode in the transverse bridge direction. The temporary fixed connection structures are arranged at the ends of the connecting trusses in the transverse bridge direction and used for fixing the two connecting trusses in the transverse bridge direction when the lifting device conducts vertical lifting. The cable crane is simple in structure, low in construction difficulty, capable of adapting to linear change of the cable, free of any power drive, exquisite in overall structure, stable in bearing stress and extremely high in construction safety.
