The invention discloses a method for laying an HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) geomembrane in a refuse landfill, which comprises the following steps of: firstly, carrying out foundation treatment on a laying site, removing sharp objects and bulges, compacting and leveling the surface of a foundation, and simultaneously carrying out necessary foundation reinforcement treatment; and then, unfolding the HDPE geomembrane by using automatic membrane paving equipment, and carrying out positioning and correction by using a laser measurement system so as to ensure the flatness and accurate positioning of the membrane material. In the edge welding process, high-precision hot air welding equipment is used for welding the edges of the overlapped membrane materials, and the welding temperature, speed and pressure are monitored and adjusted in real time so as to ensure the uniformity and firmness of welding seams. Then, multiple quality detection including ultrasonic flaw detection, infrared thermal imaging and air tightness testing is conducted on the weld joint through a comprehensive detection system, and it is ensured that the weld joint is free of defects. Finally, the laid HDPE geomembrane is covered with a plurality of layers of protection structures, and the protection structures comprise a non-woven fabric layer, a sand soil layer and a protection net so as to prevent mechanical damage and environmental erosion.
