The invention relates to the technical field of underwater temporary plugging, in particular to an underwater temporary plugging structure and method for a water delivery tunnel of a reservoir, and the underwater temporary plugging structure comprises a plugging door and a door frame; the door frame is connected with a water delivery tunnel through a first fixing piece, and a water stop rubber strip is arranged on the outer edge of the door frame and used for sealing a gap between the door frame and the water delivery tunnel. The blocking door comprises a door plate and reinforcing ribs arranged on the door plate, and the door plate is detachably connected with the door frame in a sealed mode. According to the blocking structure, the steel plate and the profile steel serve as main structures, connection is conducted in an anchor bolt mode, the blocking structure can be designed according to different section sizes of the water conveying tunnel, and the application range of the temporary blocking method for the tunnel is widened. And compared with a newly-built cofferdam, a large amount of investment is saved, and meanwhile water resource waste caused by reservoir emptying is avoided.
