The underwater cleaning robot climbs to the position where the wireless module is close to the water surface or exposed out of the water surface, the wireless module can directly communicate with the external base station to obtain the current position information of the underwater cleaning robot, and therefore positioning is achieved, additional floating objects and high-cost laser or ultrasonic modules do not need to be arranged, and the positioning accuracy is improved. Therefore, the positioning of the underwater cleaning robot with simple cost can be realized, the stability of the advancing route of the robot is improved, and the working efficiency of the robot is improved.
