The invention provides a method for repairing a graphite base with a SiC coating on the surface, which comprises the following steps: filling a damaged part of the graphite base with the SiC coating on the surface with liquid polycarbosilane and/or a polycarbosilane solution, heating in an inert atmosphere, pyrolyzing and converting polycarbosilane into SiC ceramic, and repairing the SiC ceramic on the surface of the graphite base with the SiC coating on the surface of the graphite base with the SiC coating on the surface of the graphite base. The SiC protective coating is formed on the surface of the graphite base, and SiC in gradient distribution is formed in graphite, so that the binding force with the graphite is greatly enhanced, the compactness of the graphite base is improved, and the service life of the graphite base containing the SiC coating is prolonged.
